Dear Geddes Families,
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. It is my pleasure to welcome everyone to a great year at Geddes School. We are excited to work together as a team to ensure our students receive the best educational experience possible. We also want our families to know that they will be supported during this critical time of distance learning.
During distance learning, it is our mission and vision to help every child feel they belong to our school community. We believe in fostering meaningful relationships with our students as well as working to develop productive digital citizens. We are committed to provide quality instruction for all students, which will in turn help students grow both academically and emotionally. Students will receive quality instruction primarily through the Google Classroom platform. Please be assured that all staff have been trained and are ready to serve you. With your partnership and support, I believe all students will have a meaningful elementary experience.
Effective communication with our families is very important to us at Geddes School. We encourage all families to stay informed and connected through our school website, our school Instagram page @geddes_grizzles and School/Class Dojo page. As we proceed through the school year, all important documents can be located on our website under the parent tab. These documents include the daily instructional schedule, technical support, and other resources. As always, feel free to call our office Monday through Friday (7:30 am to 4:30 pm) for additional support. Furthermore, you may contact our staff through email addresses located on our school website.
Lastly, please make note of one change to our Administrative team. Ms. Lupe Anaya has now joined our Geddes School staff as the new Assistant Principal. She will be supporting both Geddes and Walnut Elementary in this role. Ms. Urbina is now the Assistant Principal at Heath and Kenmore Elementary School. We wish her well.
In closing, I wish everyone a wonderful school year. Remember, we are better together!
